Why do you like The Lion King?

Katie -

That’s a good question. A question that I can’t answer with a simple answer, i dont even know where to begin. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that they are all Lions as i just love animals especially lions. Also the movie puts across so many great meanings like “Hakuna Matata” and that you “can’t run from the past”. Ever since i was young i remember watching this movie and it making me genuinely happy. I watched it every single day 3-4 times - I’m being serious i could never get bored of it. When i lost my aunite i would watch this move and it would cheer me up and remind me the purpose of “the circle of life”. I suppose it’s just a beautiful and ”inspirational” Movie with likeable characters and great songs, The Lion king will be forever in my heart as my favourite movie and i plan on getting a tattoo.

Same as Katie. The Lion King is one of Disney’s Masterpieces and a wonderful movie I grew up with! It’s like… you can’t describe it with words… like an own marvelous world I want to live in.
Anyways, after I saw the musical in London i realized how much I love and need this movie in my life. Whenever I’m watching it I feel like a child again - a happy child.

Who is your favourite character & why?

Katie -

Mine would have to be Simba. Yes very original, I know but I love the changes he goes through. He’s a very well developed character with such a great story. Hes funny, handsome and has a great smile. also I certainly can relate to him, especially with his epic struggle with responsibility and a death of a family member.

Marley –

It’s defenelty Scar! Well, I like Simba too but Scar was, is and always will be my favourite! You may think I’m totally crazy but I just love him! He’s Charming, creepy, delightful, despicable, ridiculous, terrifying, sarcastic… - that’s a great villain! I loved his backstory and his hate for his own brother (I don’t mean that’s a good thing)

Oh and his voice (well Jeremy Iron’s voice but anyways).
